Tyranote End User License Agreement (EULA)
By installing or using this software (Tyranote), you are deemed to have agreed to the terms below.
1. License Grant
- Purring Butter (Representative: Jongseung Park, the "Company") grants you the right to use this software on a personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable basis.
- This software is licensed, not sold, and all rights and intellectual property rights in the software belong to the Company.
- This software is free of charge. To use account features such as Sync, you must create an account with an email address and password, and the account is governed by the Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited Conduct
Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable laws (e.g., legitimate reverse analysis to ensure interoperability under the Copyright Act (저작권법)), the following are prohibited.
- Modifying, altering, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software
- Circumventing or disabling authentication or usage restrictions, or creating or distributing modified versions or tools for that purpose
- Redistributing, selling, renting, or sharing installation files or account credentials (email, password, tokens)
In the event of a violation, the Company may restrict use or terminate this agreement in accordance with the procedure in Article 11 of the Terms of Service, and may claim compensation for any resulting damages.
3. Data
- Notes and tasks are stored on the user's device encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- If Sync is used, they are also stored on the Company's servers and protected by TLS in transit and encryption at rest. The Company does not use user content for advertising or marketing, or sell it to third parties.
- Usage statistics are sent only if the user has consented. The processing of personal information is governed by the "Privacy Policy".
4. Updates
- The software checks for new versions and installs them if the user approves.
5. Limitation of Liability
- The Company will compensate for damages caused by the Company's intent or negligence. However, given the nature of free software, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of the Company, the Company is not liable for damages caused by events beyond the Company's control or attributable to the user (such as resetting the device or deleting the app without a backup).
- This section does not limit any rights guaranteed to consumers under applicable laws.
6. Termination
- You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting the software.
- If you violate Section 2, the Company may terminate this agreement in accordance with Article 11 of the Terms of Service after notifying you of the reason (in urgent cases, the Company may restrict use first and notify you without delay). Sections 2 and 5 survive termination.
7. Service Region
- This software is not directed to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or mainland China (Terms of Service, Article 12).
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any dispute will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction under applicable laws, including the Civil Procedure Act (민사소송법).
