Tyranote Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)

- Company name / Representative: Purring Butter / Jongseung Park
- Business registration number: 680-03-04138
- Address: 830-28 Hwanggeum-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, Republic of Korea

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of These Terms)
- These Terms take effect when posted on the Service screen or the website.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws. When amending them, the Company will state the effective date and the reason for the amendment and give notice on the Service screen or the website starting 7 days before the effective date (or 30 days before, for changes that are unfavorable to users or material).
- Users who do not agree to the amended Terms may stop using the Service and delete their account.
Article 4 (Description of the Service)
- Features available without signing in: On-device features such as notes, to-dos, the Planner (calendar), due date reminders, note shortcuts, Trash (30 days), and backup file export/import.
- Features added when you sign in: Sync across devices.
- The Service is entirely free of charge, and advertisements selected by the Company may be displayed on the Service screen.
- The Company may change the content and composition of the Service to improve it, and will give advance notice of changes that are unfavorable to users or material.
Article 5 (Account)
- To use Sync, you create an account with an email address and password (with one-time email verification at sign-up).
- Users may not share, transfer, or sell their account or credentials (email, password, tokens) to others.
- Up to 3 devices may be signed in to one account at the same time. If this limit is exceeded, you can choose a device to sign out and switch.
Article 6 (Fees)
- The Service is free of charge and involves no fees or payments.
- If paid features are introduced, the Company will determine matters concerning payment, withdrawal of subscription, and refunds in accordance with applicable laws, give advance notice thereof, and complete any required procedures (such as mail-order business registration).
Article 7 (Data and Personal Information)
- User content such as notes and tasks is stored encrypted on the device and, if Sync is used, is also stored on the Company's servers (TLS in transit, encrypted at rest). The Company does not use user content for advertising or marketing, or sell it to third parties.
- Usage statistics are sent only if the user has consented, and can be turned off at any time in Settings.
- The processing of personal information is governed by the "Privacy Policy".
- The notes of users who are not signed in exist only on that device. They may be lost if the device is reset or replaced, so please sign in and sync important notes, or keep them separately as a backup file.
Article 8 (User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in the following conduct (for details, see Section 2 of the EULA).
- Circumventing the Service's authentication or usage restrictions, or placing an abnormal load on the servers
- Redistributing, selling, or sharing installation files or account credentials
- Using another person's account or misappropriating another person's information
- Any other conduct that violates laws or these Terms
Article 9 (Change and Suspension of the Service)
- The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service when there is an operational or technical need, such as maintenance, outages, or equipment replacement, and will give advance notice. In urgent cases where advance notice is not possible, the Company will give notice without delay afterward.
- When the Service (sync server) is terminated, the Company will give notice 30 days in advance. During that period, the Company will keep the servers running so that users can download synced notes to their devices and export them as backup files.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
- The Company strives to provide the Service reliably, but given the nature of a free service, it does not warrant that all features will always operate without errors.
- The Company will compensate users for damages caused by the Company's intent or negligence. However, unless there is intent or
gross negligence on the part of the Company, the Company is not liable in the following cases.
- Damages caused by events beyond the Company's control, such as natural disasters or outages of telecommunications carriers or cloud providers
- Loss of local notes because the user reset or replaced the device, or deleted the app without a backup
- Damages attributable to the user (such as failure to safeguard account information)
- This Article does not limit any rights guaranteed to consumers under applicable laws.
Article 11 (Termination and Restriction of Use)
- Users may stop using the Service and request deletion of their account at any time.
- If a user violates Article 8, the Company may restrict use or terminate the agreement after notifying the user of the reason and duration and giving the user an opportunity to object. In urgent cases that cause immediate harm to other users or the Service, the Company may restrict use first and notify the user without delay.
Article 12 (Service Region)
The Service is intended for users in the Republic of Korea and other countries, but is not directed to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or mainland China. The Company does not advertise, sell, or localize the Service targeting those regions, and the app's support for multiple languages does not mean that it is directed to those regions.
Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
